Pisa

Talking about Pisa it’s inevitable to talk about its leaning tower too. But this impressive leaning bell tower it’s just one of the many monuments you can find in this charming city. The Cathedral square contains the principal religious monuments of the city, therefore it’s called “Miracle’s square”: besides the tower there’s the Cathedral, the Baptistery and the graveyard that offer an example of the artistic richness of the city, its monuments are ready to satisfy the need of artistic knowledge of the visitors. Buildings, monuments and museums give their contribution to keep alive the memory of the ancient Pisa, the one that was a Maritime Republic and, for a long time, the ruler of the Mediterranean. In addition Pisa is still considered the Queen of studies, this title was assigned to Pisa from Florence, thanks to its University, one of the most important of Europe. Therefore we’re talking about a dynamic, young and living city.

Cinque Terre

Strung along 18km of serrated cliffs between Levanto and La Spezia, the Cinque Terre is one of Italy’s treasures. These five higgledy-piggledy villages – Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore – are cut off by mountains choked with olive groves and dry-stone-walled vineyards, where farmers have eked out a living over the centuries.

This portion of the Italian Riviera is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cars aren't allowed, so take local trains or ferries to go from town to town—or walk one of the spectacular trails that connect them.

Most events and festivals occur during the summer and early fall months. Of all the villages, Monterosso is the center of activity during the festival season.
